Waxahachie CARE Announces New Name: C.A.R.E. Services

A New Chapter of Hope, Dignity, and Expanded Support for All of Ellis County

Waxahachie, Texas – Waxahachie CARE, a trusted source of support for local families for more than four decades, is proud to announce its new name: C.A.R.E. Services. This evolution reflects the organization’s expanded mission, broader service area, and growing network of programs designed to support long-term stability for individuals and families throughout Ellis County.

While the name is new, the heart of the mission remains the same. C.A.R.E. Services continues to meet immediate needs while helping neighbors build toward lasting stability. What began as a small community initiative has grown into a modern, people-centered organization that provides a wide range of services including a fresh choice food market, education resources, job and financial readiness tools, mental health connections, veteran support, and emergency assistance.

“Changing our name to C.A.R.E. Services signals who we are today and who we serve,” said Deidre S. Hamid, Executive Director of C.A.R.E. Services. “Our reach has expanded well beyond Waxahachie, and our programs have grown to include much more than food support. This name honors our history while opening the door for new partners, new volunteers, and new ways to strengthen Ellis County.”
